STARTLAND FARM
.
The art of giving back and restarting.
.
In 2000, I bought an 11-hectare parcel of land that was previously a cornfield. I\u2019ve withdrawn it from cultivation and rewilded it. This farm is now a private reserve. My goal, in the language of ecology, is to achieve the highest diversity and density on the land in the shortest possible time.
.
By 2024, I’ve found or reintroduced more than 800 species of plants and animals on my estate. This number could realistically reach two thousand by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
